William Jefferson Yates

William "Jeff" Jefferson Yates, a loving husband, father, and cherished member of the community of Yukon passed away on March 12, 2024, at the age of 86. He was born on October 30, 1937, in Fletcher, Oklahoma to parents Clarence and Minnie Yates. Jeff was a devoted husband to his wife, Barbara Yates, and a loving father to his sons, Michael Kollman and Kelly Kollman.

Throughout his life, Jeff had a passion for football, and was an avid OSU fan, and enjoyed playing golf with friends. He found solace and strength in his faith as a member of the Church of the Redeemer in Oklahoma City. Jeff was a member of the Young Mens Club of Oklahoma City. Among his beloved companions were his two Yorkies, Katie, and Sissy. Jeff retired from the military after working several years as a General manager for the Army & Air Force Exchange Service.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Barbara Yates; his son Michael Kollman and wife Sherrie; 3 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; his sister-in-laws Elaine and Billie Jean; nephew Bruce; and nephew Jody and wife Kathy. Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Minnie Yates; son, Kelly Kollman; sisters, Peggy, and Jean; and brother, Bruce.

A Memorial service to honor Jeff's life will be held Monday, March 25th, 2024 at 2:00pm at Ingram, Smith & Turner Mortuary in Yukon with a reception to follow at 3:00 pm.
